The Arizona Youth Basketball League (AYBL) is a league designed to attract the top youth club and high school Freshmen, JV and Varsity basketball teams from the metro Phoenix East Valley area.
The league will debut with one division that mixes 14U - 18U age players into one highly competitive league. For example, if you have a very advanced 14U team and would like to add a few high school players to the mix, now you can do so at the AYBL. Since only one division exists to attract the top players in the 14U- 18U age groups, the league will always have very competitive teams facing each other.
There is a possibility that 15U players will be facing 17U players but make no mistake about it, the 15U players will be in the league because they have developed a reputation for giving the older kids a run for their money. As the league progresses, it will be no surprise to see younger teams beat olders teams since the league is about skills and not age group.
Throughout the month of August, September and October, the league will have three 30 day cycles where the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming high school tryouts scheduled in November 2010 will take place.
If you have been looking for the opportunity to play your team against some of the best competition in the East Valley area, then the AYBL is the place for you. But don't wait, the August 2010 league is now full; however, we are taking registrations for the September 2010 cycle.
Remember, the Arizona Youth Basketball League is open to teams from all over the Phoenix Metro area; however, our games will take place in the East Valley area. If you are looking for high level of competitive play right here in your back yard, then the AYBL is the league to join.
