The major sponsor of the Danny Granger Hurricanes is Danny Granger, NBA star with the Indiana Pacers and former University of New Mexico great. The purpose of the Danny Granger Hurricanes, formerly the Southwest Titans Club, is to serve as an avenue to develop young players for the next step beyond recreational basketball and to identify players of a higher caliber who have set their goals on reaching higher standards. This opportunity will provide each player the chance to play with some of the better players from New Mexico, El Paso area and neighboring states and prepare them for High School and collegiate competition.
Albuquerque Force Youth Basketball (AFYB), (aka New Mexico Force), is a non-profit, 501 c (3), organization dedicated to working with young men ages 10 through 17. Since 1992, their objective is to provide a positive environment and outlet for the top basketball players throughout the entire state of New Mexico, to include El Paso, Amarillo and the surrounding states. The organization stresses the importance of family, schoolwork and the development of their players throughout all levels of their club system.
