Area Codes Basketball recently introduced the Tucson Vs. Phoenix Tip Off in March of this year and attending this event paid off for Phoenix St. Mary's senior guard Chris Mason who apparently will sign in April with Western New Mexico.
Founder of Area Codes Basketball, local Arizona club basketball tournament coordinator Chad Groth has made a name for himself by being one of the leading catalyst in positioning student-atheltes before college coaches through his multiple exposure events that take place throughout Arizona and surrounding states.
Chad's effort on introducing the Tucson vs. Phoenix Tip Off resulted in Chris Mason, a 6-foot-5, St. Mary's Knight's basketball player who averaged 18 points and eight rebounds this past season the opportunity to impress Western New Mexico coach Mark Coleman who was one of the many coaches in attendance at the event.
According to sources, Mason visited the Western New Mexico campus recently and committed to attend and play at the school. The success of Chris Mason of being exposed through an Area Codes Basketball event is indicative of the multiple opportunities that Chad Groth is creating for talented student-athletes to be discovered by college coaches and recruiters.
The example of Chris Mason's opportunity can exist for other talented student-athletes, but first, they have to be exposed at the right events and Area Codes Basketball with Chad Groth at the helm is definitely one of the premier events to attend and be discovered.
