"Fall Bash at the Bay" Basketball Tournament

For those Arizona club teams looking to challenge California talent, the San Diego Chiefs/Lady EBO/Jamsports present the "Fall Bash at the Bay" basketball tournament which is expected to provide a high level of competition from all over California.

Date:  October 10 - 11, 2009 (Saturday & Sunday).

Guaranteed:  3 games.

Cost:  $200 with 2 or more teams at $175 per team.

Premier Day of Champions: Fitness and Skills Test

On Saturday, August 29th from 7:00am to 11:00am, Champions Training Center will be conducting a health and wellness fitness and skills test at the Arizona Premier Basketball Academy.  The event is a FREE comprehensive fitness testing which includes 10 vital tests for every athlete.

There will be several screenings and health professionals available in the areas of Sports Nutrition, Back Care, and Rehabilitation.  The assesment will take participant about 45 minutes to complete.

Assessments will be conducted every hour for the following age categories for both male and female athletes.

7:00am - 8:00am        Ages 9, 10, 11
8:30am - 10:00am      Ages 12, 13, 14
9:30am - 11:00am      Ages 15, 16, 17

Channing Frye Bull Dogs

The Channing Frye Bull Dogs basketball club team system is holding tryouts for its upcoming youth basketball season.  Tryouts will be held for U12, U13, and U14.  U15 and U16 tryouts will be held on September 12.

When:  Saturday Sept 5, 2009
            8:30 am to 10:00 am - U14 (8th Graders)
            10:00 am to 11:30 am - U13 (7th Graders)
            11:30 am to 1:00 pm - Lunch
            1:00 pm to 2:30 pm - U12 (6th Graders)

Cost:    $75.00 fee per month per player.  Includes weekly practices and  up to two tournaments per month. $15.00 one time AAU annual fee which includes insurance for practices and events. $100 one time fee includes uniform, reversible t-shirt and gym bag.

Please be sure to come in proper gym attire: basketball shoes, T-shirts, shorts and water.  Terms rules and expectations of the C Frye Bull Dogs will be reviewed at the tryout.

14th Annual Sentinel Classic 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

Seton Catholic High School will be hosting a community-wide 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, September 12th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Age divisions include 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th, JV, Varsity, Adult, Masters (38 yrs+) for both male and female athletes.

Registrations will be accepted through Wednesday, September 9th at 5:00 p.m.  Game information must be picked up Friday evening, September 11th, with games beging played on Saturday.  The cost is $80 per team with no more than four players to a team.  Each participant receives a tournament t-shirt and the winning team receives team apparel.  Teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games, all of which will be played indoors with referees on all courts.

Excel Fall Club Competitive Basketball League

The Excel Competive Youth Basketball Fall Club League is about to begin its season.  Registration is taking place now for this youth club basketball league with a registration deadline of August 20th.

SEASON:  September 5th - October 31st.

DETAILS:  Games will be played on Saturdays at Arch Gym, Phoenix Christian High School, Valley Lutheran High School, Verrado Middle School.  Championship t-shirts will be provided to the winners.  There is a $1 door charge; however, coaches and players are exempt from the door charge.

COST:  $550 per team.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  August 20th.
